Good Game

First time I played any of the shift games and it was very enjoyable. I liked the art style and the puzzles were fun to solve without being too difficult. Add some more levels and fine tune the artwork and this would be a 10/10. Perhaps it would work better to incorporate more of the art style in making the game an entire custom world, like with it's own blackwork icons and animations for menu and in game display etc.

Good For a Quick Escape

Game was entertaining and I liked the old Seirra adventure game style graphics. The puzzles were a little too easy. For more challenge maybe have it so the items don't automatically get picked up and used by themselves. I liked the blend of puzzle and platform as well.

Ok for a quick giggle, then bored...

Funny idea and some nice work on the animations, but not too fun to play. A lot of the time the game runs too choppy and the controls seem imprecise and sluggish. As well as not much replay value. I got a chuckle out of the menu selection screen though :). For the next one I would work on fine tuning the mouse controls and optomizing it to run faster. I think having to click and THEN do your move would seem more rewarding and not be confusing with other movements.

Needs some work

It's a start at a game. Need to polish up your collision detection and ball movement. Also some major slowdown happens with just a few items on the screen. Look through your code loops and see where you can improve performance. The balls only bounce off the paddle and bricks (no ball vs ball bounce) so you really should be able to speed it up. Many other bugs and overall random feeling of controls make this not to fun to play.

I would consider this alpha build

Well first off it's closer to Atari's Breakout than 'Arkanoid'. Other than that, it seems more of a classroom project to show how elastic collision with walls work. There isn't much polish to the game and little content.

Nice Tribue

Good job trying to stay authentic to the original. I would have liked mouse control though. The only times I have played this game is the original arcade version, which had a spinner and on an Apple IIgs which used the mouse that is closer to using a spinner than the keyboard. Not sure what version of flash you programmed this on, but with some code optomization I'm sure it could be speeded up. I can't give this more than a 7 considering it's a direct steal from another game, but was a very well done port.
